DR MORVENDHRAN MOODLEY
MBChB, FCS(SA) Dip Min Access Surgery (D.MAS)

Dr Morvendhran Moodley is a Specialist Surgeon based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. He obtained his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBChB) from Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, University of Natal, in 2000. In 2001, Dr Moodley completed his Internship at King Edward VIII Hospital.

 
 

In 2003, Dr Moodley went on to complete his Community Service at St. Apollinaris Hospital, Creighton, KwaZulu-Natal and later became a Medical Officer. In the same year, he moved to London and worked as a Locum staff grade in the Accident and Emergency Medicine Department. He also went on to work as a Clinical Fellow in Accident and Emergency Medicine at the Whipps Cross University Hospital in London.

Dr Moodley returned to South Africa in 2005 and worked as a Registrar in General Surgery at Durban Functional Region. In 2009, he became a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa FCS(SA). He then worked at Stanger Hospital and RK Khan Hospital in 2010 as a Specialist Surgeon.

Dr Morvendhran Moodley ventured into private practice at Lenmed Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre as a Specialist Surgeon, where he has treated patients with care and precision since 2015. He is a member of the South African Society of Endoscopic Surgeons (SASES) and the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI).
